"Winterize" Your Bike

Instructions

  1. Position your bike (with the kickstand out) as horizontally level as possible
  2. Lift your seat into the upright position and remove the gas cap
  3. Locate the carburetor and turn the selector valve to the "reserve" position
  4. On the carburetor, at the bottom of the bowl, turn the thumb screw counterclockwise (four turns) to drain all gas
  5. Once all gas is drained, tighten the thumb screw

Why do this?

If you don't ride your bike when the weather gets cold, leftover gas from the season can clog up jets and lines on your bike. Empty the gas tank and carburetor to prevent expensive and frustrating issues!
